From Civil Engineering to Sales: A Journey of Self-Discovery
As a university student, I embarked on a path in Civil Engineering, initially envisioning a future in Architecture for my MBA. However, as I delved deeper into my studies, I realized civil engineering wasn't my calling. This moment of uncertainty led me to AIESEC, a decision initially motivated by the desire to gain international experience.
Little did I know, this journey with AIESEC would change my life forever. It was more than just an opportunity to go abroad; it became a voyage of self-discovery. I found myself thoroughly enjoying interactions with people, thriving in environments that required communication and connection. This realization was a pivotal moment for me, sparking a transformation in my career goals.
I shifted gears, moving away from engineering to pursue a career in sales. This wasn't just a job change; it was a transition towards a role that resonated with my newfound passion and skills.
My story is a testament to the evolving career mindset among younger generations. We're not just job-hopping; we're in pursuit of what truly drives us, even if it means exploring uncharted territories.
Like many of my peers, I've learned that career paths aren't always linear. They're a journey of self-discovery, growth, and adaptation.
Embracing change, I've found a career that aligns with my passions and strengths, and I encourage others to be open to the possibilities their own journeys might reveal.
